Halff Riverside Park Design and Engineering Receives Award of Excellence

November 21, 2025

TAMPA, Fla. — Halff’s Riverside Park Design and Engineering project in Temple Terrace, Florida, received the Award of Excellence from the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission.

The Planning Commission’s Annual Planning & Design Awards honor projects that contribute to a better quality of life, improve economic development, and enhance Hillsborough’s natural and historic assets. A project that is selected for an Award of Excellence exhibits excellence in nearly every aspect of planning, design and execution. Award winners are selected by a panel of judges not associated with Hillsborough County.

The Riverside Park Design and Engineering project involved comprehensive design, permitting, bidding and construction management of nine acres of riverfront property to create a dynamic, multi-use public space that promotes outdoor recreation, environmental appreciation and community engagement. Planned improvements include boardwalks and fishing piers to enhance waterfront access, pedestrian walking paths and bridges for improved connectivity, picnic facilities and more.
