Halff’s David Smith Inducted into 2023 Texas Tech CECE Academy
RICHARDSON, Texas — Halff’s David Smith, operations manager for Lubbock and Midland, was inducted into Texas Tech University’s 2023 Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering Academy (CECE).
The CECE Academy recognizes and celebrates the achievements of civil, environmental and construction engineering alumni of Texas Tech.
Smith was presented the Academy plaque by previous TTU CECE Academy inductee and Halff employee Stephanie Griffin.
Smith, a 2003 graduate of Tech, has spent his 20-year career with Halff and has served as a team leader, project manager and lead design engineer for various municipal and private development projects. His projects have involved major thoroughfare and street design, storm drainage design, water transmission main and distribution system design, sanitary sewer design and construction administration.
Other Halff CECE Academy inductees include Erin Atkinson (2013), Stephanie Griffin (2007), Sam Hinojosa (2018), Leigh Hollis (2021), Andrew Ickert (2012) and Dan Warfield (2021).
