Halff Celebrates at 2024 ACEC Engineering Excellence Gala in Washington, D.C.

The Bastrop State Park Dam has been honored with a National Recognition award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) in the water resources category. Several leaders from Halff gathered in Washington, D.C., on May 15 to celebrate and accept this honor at the Engineering Excellence Awards Gala.

The Bastrop State Park Dam was completed on May 6, 2023.

This national recognition marks the fourth prestigious accolade earned by a Halff project in the last three years. Read more details about our 2022 National Recognition for FAMU Way.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team, who partnered with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to support their mission of ‘life’s better outside’ through our commitment to improving lives and communities,” stated Halff President and CEO Jessica Baker Daily (pictured top right). “It was a night worth celebrating!”

This impactful project would not have been possible without the collaboration of Halff’s environmental, engineering, structural and surveying teams, and many more multi-discipline professionals. The dam reconstruction will allow park visitors to enjoy the lake views and water activities at Bastrop State Park.
