Woodside Heights Wastewater Retrofit in Leon County, Florida, provided a central sewer system to a neighborhood. It used approximately 13,000 lf of 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer and 4,500 lf of 6-inch force main. This is the initial phase of a grant-funded effort to reduce the number of septic systems within the Wakulla Springs Basin.
Halff provided water, land development and local infrastructure services for this project.

HCI Updates
Austin volunteers stepped up to the plate when the Ronald McDonald House was in need of cooks for a dinner shift. Within an hour of the call going out, Halff had a few volunteers ready to go!
Erik Verduzco from the Houston office presented HCI’s $2,500 donation to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo – Poultry Auction Committee, which will be used for scholarships.
Teaming Together
Several members from Tampa’s Land Development team took a trip to St. Pete Beach, where they visited previous and ongoing projects that aim to improve drainage systems, build lift stations, new seawalls and more, due to sea-level rise and intensifying storm surges.
One of Halff’s project managers from the Fort Worth office attended a groundbreaking ceremony for an industrial development in Grapevine, Texas, designed by Fort Worth employees.
Richardson employees hosted a happy hour as a pick-me-up after the holidays.
