McAllen ISD MEP and ICT Services

Halff has a strong track record of proving MEP and ICT services to independent school districts (ISDs), acting as a valuable consultant with expertise in delivering multidisciplinary solutions. Partnering with McAllen ISD, Halff delivered a variety of critical upgrades that enhance safety for teachers and students at Fossum Middle School and Nikki Rowe High School.

Halff was responsible for the design and implementation of the following for Fossum Middle School:

• New video surveillance systems
• Video management system coordination
• Proper heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) for intermediate distribution frames

The team provided recommendations that influenced the overall construction planning schedule, ensuring that key infrastructure elements, such as electrical upgrades and surveillance systems, were seamlessly integrated with minimal disruption to school operations.

Nikki Rowe High School was in need of a new fire alarm and fire sprinkler system to ensure safe operations. Halff’s team provided a field survey, assessment of existing conditions, new system design for current facilities, preparation of bid documents, bid evaluations and construction administration to ensure successful completion of the project. From Halff’s electrical engineering on the fire alarm system to mechanical engineering on the new fire sprinkler system, this work enhanced safety and compliance, equipping the school with the latest fire protection technology.
