Halff Celebrates at 2024 ACEC Gala
Halff leaders attended the ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards Gala in Washington, D.C., to celebrate and accept the 2024 National Recognition Award for Bastrop State Park Dam. This recognition marks the fourth prestigious accolade earned by a Halff project in the last three years.
HCI Updates
Fort Worth office volunteers attended Career Day at Bonnie Brae Elementary, where they used Ward’s Stormwater Floodplain Simulation System to demonstrate the critical role floodplains play in the life of a watershed, and the impact of unplanned development and human activity in key areas.
Volunteers from the Richardson office led three “Tree ID: Leaf It to the Girls” workshops as part of Girlstart’s 2024 Girls in STEM Conference.
Halff’s Leadership Team and Board of Directors joined forces with HCI to volunteer at the Network of Community Ministries, where they helped organize and take inventory of food, and presented HCI’s $2,000 donation.
Teaming Together
Three Halff offices opened their doors for open houses.
The San Antonio office (top left) celebrated 20 years in business at the end of April, while both the Tampa and Tyler (bottom) offices welcomed clients and colleagues to express their appreciation.
Employees from the Tampa office attended the 2024 State of Tampa’s Downtown Forum where they had the opportunity to meet Mayor Jane Castor.
Halff sponsored a team during the ACEC Arkansas Clay Shoot, where the Arkansas office took home first place in the event!
Two teams from Halff participated in the Beach to Bay Relay Marathon, where runners start at Bob Hall Pier on North Padre Island and end at Waters Edge Park.
Halff Bag Travels
Andy and Lynne Shafer (left) celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary outside the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, with their Halff bag in hand.
Brian Downing enjoyed the islands of the Philippines, where some of his family is from!
