Halff Recognized for Leadership, Innovation and Workplace Excellence

Accolades poured in this month as Halff’s people, projects and workplace culture were honored through national and regional awards. From innovative water infrastructure and professional leadership to a workplace where employees thrive, these achievements reflect the expertise and dedication found across the firm.

The Gibson Place Utility Company Wastewater Treatment Plant earned a Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Florida Region Merit Award for excellence in design-build delivery. Clint Smith received a once-in-a lifetime award: the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) President’s Medal for his service, leadership and dedication to the engineering profession. Halff then rounded out the month by once again earning recognition as a Best Place to Work in Arkansas, reinforcing the people-first culture behind the firm’s continued success.

Conferences & Events

Halff attended the GAWP Annual Conference & Expo in Savannah, Georgia, the Esri User Conference in San Diego, California and the APWA Arizona Statewide Conference & Expo in Tucson, Arizona.

Halff’s Phoenix and infrastructure management/GIS teams stayed connected by sharing expertise and building relationships at conferences in July.

Halff Community Initiative (HCI)

Following recent flooding, the San Antonio office partnered with the City of Boerne to help restore Boerne City Lake Park, Northrup Park and areas along Cibolo Creek.

A little paint, creativity and care went a long way as the Midland office decorated a room at Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Centre in preparation for Journey Camp.

Halff’s Culture

The PLA team  joined the City of Cabot and Metroplan to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Lonoke County Multi-Use Trail, marking the start of a project that will expand recreational opportunities for the community.

Fourth of July celebrations brought Halff offices together with barbecues, potlucks, cookouts and a little friendly competition. From Tallahassee’s client barbecue and cornhole tournament to annual traditions in Little Rock and North Little Rock and Fort Worth’s “All-American Meltdown” mac and cheese contest, teams celebrated the holiday in true Halff fashion.

Halff Bag Travels

Rachel Kendrick (left) packed her Halff bag for an Irish adventure, visiting Dublin and the Rock of Cashel.

Julianne Birdsall and her family also brought their Halff bag to Italy, where they stopped for a photo at the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa.
