U.S. Courthouse in San Antonio Earns Three GSA Construction Awards Honors

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The U.S. Courthouse in San Antonio, a design-build project in partnership with Brasfield & Gorrie, received three recognitions in the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Construction Awards. The courthouse received honor achievements in the capital project, DEIA/community engagement and use of technology categories.

Halff provided civil engineering, MEP engineering, landscape architecture, surveying and Information Communication Technology (ICT) services for the $144 million, four-story courthouse.

The U.S. Courthouse in San Antonio was recently honored with a GSA Construction Award in 2024.

The 235,000-square-foot facility, which sits on 6.3 acres, resides next to the San Pedro Creek on West Nueva Street in San Antonio. It houses eight federal courtrooms, 13 chambers and the GSA.

GSA’s Construction Awards were created to honor outstanding achievements in construction, with a focus on quality and craftsmanship, collaboration and team dynamics, sustainability, innovation, and technology. The U.S. Courthouse San Antonio also received a National Award of Merit from the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) in 2023.
