Railyard Park is a 1.2-acre multi-feature park and amphitheater neighboring the historic downtown Waxahachie. It has helped revitalize the downtown area, attracting people for a variety of events year-round. This award-winning resilient park and its facilities are also uniquely designed to withstand flooding.
Halff provided landscape architecture, planning, flood infrastructure design, and MEP services.
Tribute to Mark
Halff’s previous President/CEO Mark Edwards (pictured left) officially retired on Dec. 31, 2023. He joined the firm in 1990 and served as the firm’s fifth president/CEO from 2020-2023. Mark successfully and gracefully led the firm through the tumultuous Covid-19 pandemic, created the beloved Halff Home Run Award, helped establish the Halff Community Initiative (HCI), bolstered Halff’s presence in the oil and gas market, and accomplished much more. Mark will be incredibly missed, and has left a heartfelt impact on Halff and its people.
Jessica Baker Daily is now serving as Halff’s sixth president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2024.
HCI Updates
McAllen volunteers participated in a toy drive to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of McAllen!
Multiple offices participated in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program that provides Christmas gifts for hundreds of thousands of children and senior adults around the country each year.
Erik Verduzco from Houston presented HCI’s $1,000 donation to Camp Hope, to help with end-of-year needs for the veterans that they help to live healthy lives after combat.
Through HCI and employee donations, the Tallahassee office purchased more than $1,500 worth of gifts for Toys for Tots.
Frisco volunteers helped set up Frisco Family Services’ holiday store for Silver Bells, which serves seniors, and the family Christmas store. Setup included decorating trees, unloading gifts and organizing the room.
Teaming Together
All Halff offices and teams celebrated the holiday season with special Christmas party dinners, themed activities, outings and more! View the collage below for a featured handful of the festivities and fun.
McAllen colleagues wrapped up the year with a paint night at the office.
The Leadership Team mixed and mingled with employees in Corpus Christi during their latest office visit.
Ladies from Richardson attended the Women in Transportation (WTS) corporate sponsor happy hour together.
Jacksonville’s Water Resources team grabbed their kayaks and headed to Simpson Creek for their team-building time.
Halff Bag Travels
Tiffany Lowe recently completed two climbs: Guadalupe Peak in the Guadalupe Mountains National Park (pictured left) and Emory Peak in Big Bend National Park.
Phillip Newsome enjoyed the snowfall in Colorado Springs while visiting for the holidays.
