December 5, 2025

OKLAHOMA CITY — Two Halff projects earned recognition from the American Planning Association (APA) Oklahoma chapter. The Endeavor 2045 Comprehensive Plan for Bartlesville received the Outstanding Plan award. Additionally, The Filling Station in El Reno was a Great Public Space award winner.

The 2025 APA Oklahoma Awards recognize outstanding projects, plans and individuals who are shaping communities. The Outstanding Plan Award recognizes a plan that advances the science and art of planning, while the Great Public Space Award singles out places with a unique identity, cultural interest and community involvement.

The Endeavor 2045 Comprehensive Plan, led by Halff, was created in an effort to provide guidance for the physical, economic and social development of the City of Bartlesville. Halff provided a range of services including planning, landscape architecture, public engagement, survey mapping, district planning and scenario planning. The comprehensive plan identified key elements that make the city unique, established a vision plan of what Bartlesville wants to become in the future and provided a blueprint for how the city can get there through the execution of a multi-year work program.

The Filling Station involved the renovation of a historic fueling station in downtown El Reno to include a classic car museum, mural wall, visitors center, pedestrian plaza and parking. This project is part of the larger Route 66 Revitalization Grant Support project, which aims to rejuvenate key areas of El Reno. The revitalization of Route 66 is meant to celebrate and preserve its historic charm, promoting community engagement and tourism.
