Aviation Drive Fire Training Center

Bentonville is a growing city in northwestern Arkansas, where firefighters needed a facility that afforded them a broader range of training opportunities to help them better serve the area.

Halff provided civil engineering, land development and surveying services on Bentonville’s new Fire Training Tower, which opened in May 2023. The $3.9 million fire training center stands 5-stories tall, with each floor presenting a different training scenario that firefighters may encounter. This facility was paid for with funding from the 2021 bond extension.

Laying the groundwork was important, as the facility was custom designed eight-feet wider than the standard Commissioner structure to better accommodate training. Design and planning of the facility began in 2019, and Halff was contracted in 2021. The result is a unique and excellent fire training facility that can now serve in training Bentonville-area firefighters with a variety of skill levels.
