Jessica Baker Named ENR Top 20 Under 40, Shares Insights at ENR Roundtable
Vice President Jessica Baker was recently named to ENR’s national Top 20 Under 40 list after being selected at the regional level for Texas and Louisiana.
At ENR’s invitation, Jessica traveled to San Francisco in June to participate in the publication’s roundtable discussion with the other national winners. Her comments appeared in three Insights of ENR’s July 23/30 edition where she discussed:
- The role mentorship plays in building a unique, successful company culture.
- Opening up opportunities for women in the industry.
- The importance of practical technology and relationship-based collaboration.
Jessica joined Halff as an intern and quickly became team leader for the Water Resources group in Richardson, where she trained and oversaw a team of engineers while managing more than 250 projects. In her role as vice president, Jessica is influential in the development and execution of numerous technical, professional and leadership development training classes across Halff. She is also instrumental in business development and has secured several notable wins for the company. She was recently elected to Halff’s Board of Directors.
Jessica serves on industry boards at all levels, teaches numerous water resources-related courses and regularly presents at national and state conferences. She looks for opportunities to present because of her commitment to the education of officials, media and citizens, and she works to provide education to ensure all communities understand flood risk.
