HEC-RAS 2D has become a common tool for analyzing urban, flat terrain, confluences and other complex flooding scenarios. Learn HEC-RAS 2D in this hands-on two-and-a-half-day training class. You will leave with an understanding of:
- • Differences between 1D and 2D modeling
- • Basics of unsteady RAS modeling
- • Terrain and mesh development and editing
- • Modeling structures
- • Setting boundary conditions
- • Visualizing, interpreting and reporting results using RAS Mapper
- • Rain-on-mesh analysis
- • Integrating 1D and 2D models
- • Reviewing models and interpreting errors
About the Training
Participants should have a basic understanding of HEC-RAS 1D, steady-state modeling. Unsteady HEC-RAS modeling experience would also be helpful, but is not necessary.
For more information or questions regarding this training, please contact FloodTraining@halff.com.
Note: Participants should bring their own laptop with HEC-RAS 6.3.1 installed. Halff will provide the workshop data for download and by flash drive. Click here to download the software for free.
