RICHARDSON, Texas — The Deep Fork Greenway Trail was recognized with a Merit Award in the Design (Unbuilt) category by the Oklahoma chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

The innovative trail would complete a gap in Oklahoma City’s 42-mile urban loop and create a go-to destination for Oklahoma City residents and tourists alike. The design incorporates tree canopy walks, creekside overlooks, iconic tree forms and colorful nighttime lighting to invite evening use.

Earlier this year, the Deep Fork Greenway Trail collected a Merit Award in the Design Unrealized category by the Texas ASLA chapter.

Halff has won a record-breaking 17 project awards in 2022, surpassing the firm’s previous best of 16 in 2021.
