Halff’s City of Houston Stormwater Master Plan Honored by NAFSMA
RICHARDSON, Texas — Halff’s City of Houston Stormwater Master Plan (SWMP) received special recognition in the Innovative Water Project Awards Program by the National Association of Flood and Stormwater Management Agencies (NAFSMA).
The Innovative Water Project Awards Program recognizes community flood risk and/or stormwater and water quality management projects that accomplish multiple benefits.
The City of Houston Stormwater Master Plan is a comprehensive modeling analysis of all types of stormwater infrastructure throughout the Houston city limits. The plan will equip the city with the tools and information necessary to plan and develop solutions to mitigate citywide flooding. It allows for solutions to be implemented that target the areas of the city under the most flood risk, while also tailoring solutions within neighborhoods to reduce the impacts of urban flooding on homes and businesses.
