Texas Tech Honors Halff’s Bargainer With Distinguished Alumni Award
Halff’s Tim Bargainer accepted the Distinguished Alumni Award from Texas Tech’s Davis College earlier this month.
Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff) Senior Vice President and Practice Lead for Planning and Landscape Architecture, Tim Bargainer was bestowed with the Distinguished Alumni Award by Texas Tech University’s Davis College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources earlier this month in Lubbock.
Bargainer, who works in Halff’s North Austin office, received his bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech in 1992. He began his career as a planner and landscape architect in Austin and eventually worked in a variety of roles including chief executive officer, founding member and principal of a previous company. Bargainer has been with Halff since 2015.
He is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB). Bargainer has served on the board of the Texas chapter of the ASLA as president-elect, president, past president, secretary and chair of the legislative committee. He was appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners in September 2020. Recent honors include the American Trails Award of Excellence and the Distinguished Member Award from Texas ASLA.
The TTU Distinguished Alumni & Outstanding Young Alumni Awards honor graduates who’ve made significant contributions to society, and whose accomplishments and careers have brought distinction to the college and the professions associated with agriculture and natural resources.
