Summer is in full swing at Halff, with teams watching baseball, competing in a two-day challenge and opening a brand-new Florida office! Keep reading to see Halff’s team efforts this month.

Halff provided planning and landscape architecture services for Lake Leander Lakewood Destination Park. The park is designed to be the largest and most natural park in Leander, Texas, carefully weaving through the natural vegetation and beauty the site has to offer. It includes both a playground and nature play area, large splash pad, dog park, fishing pier, several miles of trails and much more, making it perfect for people of all ages.

Tampa’s Twin

Halff opened a new office in Temple Terrace near Tampa, Florida. Located less than 20 miles away from Halff’s Tampa office, this expansion into Florida’s west coast will enable Halff to serve clients with our SUE/utility coordination, surveying, water/wastewater and transportation services.

HCI Updates

Twenty-seven San Antonio employees competed in the 2023 San Antonio Sports Corporate cup. The two-day event invites companies of all sizes and specialties to compete in a variety of events while contributing to good causes.

The team won eighth place out of 30 teams! “I’m very proud of our office and staff that participated, and even prouder of where we finished as a first-time competitor,” said San Antonio Operations Manager Edward Herolt.

Employees from Halff’s Austin and Austin South offices teamed up to make mini meatloaves, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes for dinner at Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Little Rock employees spent the first two weeks of June collecting cereal for the Arkansas Foodbank to help feed children during the summer. They delivered 83 donation items total!

Four Brownsville volunteers delivered HCI’s $500 donation to Moody Clinic, which provides the highest quality of rehabilitative services to maximize the potential of children with special needs.

Teaming Together

Frisco and Richardson teams met at Rider’s Field to watch the Frisco Roughriders face off against the San Antonio Missions.

The San Antonio Network of Women (NOW) group met over lunch and heard guest speakers to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day on June 23.

Richardson’s Water/Wastewater team had fun at Class Axe Throwing, to see who was the ultimate “lumberlord!”

Halff Bag Travels

Tiffany Lowe (top left) drove an impressive 4,200 miles over a period of two weekends, hiking and traversing multiple state high points in Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota (Theodore Roosevelt National Park) and South Dakota.

Natalie Rogers (top middle) enjoyed the beautiful views at the Grand Canyon, snapping a photo with the Halff bag at the South Rim.

Robbin Moody (top right) and her Halff bag traveled to the Liberty Bell in Pennsylvania, and many more fun destinations.
